SF Fine Arts Events This Week: "Take 5" and Alexander Hanson Exhibit

January 22, 2024 – Benefiting from strong community backing, BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú's Fine Arts and Entertainment Technology program is expanding its reach on local, national and international levels. This week's offerings showcase the program's commitment.
"Take 5"
Audience members will enjoy a unique theatre experience with live music in a jazz club atmosphere when Theatre BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú presents the "Take 5" 10-Minute Play Festival at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall at the Northwest Campus of BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú, 3000 NW 83 Street, Gainesville.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $9 for seniors, students, military service members and children 12 and under; and free for SF students, faculty, and staff with SFID. Tickets are available from the Fine Arts Hall box office at 352-395-4181 or online from Showpass at: showpass.com/10-minute-plays-2.
Alexander Hanson Exhibit
The BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú Gallery showcases the talents of Alexander Hanson until March 15. Hanson's work often focuses on the use of objects, constructed and found, to ask pointed questions. He will be creating a site-specific installation and spending a week on campus as a visiting artist-in-residency.
