The US Department of Education announced the release of updated tips sheets for unique
student populations. See the announcement below. Please use these to support the students
you work with.
Newly Updated: Student Aid Tips for Unique Student Populations
Certain students face unique challenges when applying for financial aid. NASFAA's
newly updated tip sheets are designed to help different student populations-such as
adult learners, service members and veterans, undocumented students, and refugee and
asylee students-overcome these challenges to accessing higher education. We encourage
you to share these tip sheets with students and families who can benefit from these
resources.
