Gainesville, FL – The BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú Saints were playing some of their best baseball of the season on Wednesday afternoon against Polk State College, but mother nature had other ideas as SF and the Eagles were rained out after just four complete innings. The game will go in the books as a no contest since the required five innings (or four and a half if the home team is ahead) were not completed. BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú was ahead 6-1 at the time of the cancellation.
Kevin Martin was zoned in on the mound, piling up 10 strikeouts in four innings of work. Shortstop George Ragsdale and catcher Roger Gonzalez each belted homeruns for the Saints during the rain shortened game.
BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú will host St. Petersburg College on Friday, February 14 at 1:00 PM at SF Field.
