Sneed Goes for 14 as Saints Win Third Straight

#7 LADY SAINTS ROLL PAST ST. PETE COLLEGE, 72-53
Gainesville, FL – After a close first period, the BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú Saints (3-0) used a 44 points second half to pull away from the St. Pete College Titans and win their third straight game to start the season.
Tracie Sneed led BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú in scoring with 14 points and SFC leading scorer Lanita Bartley had 13 points and 11 rebounds for her first double double of the season.
The Saints jumped out early to a 13-4 lead seven minutes into the first half, but St. Pete kept things close, tying the game at 18-18 with four minutes left. SFC ended the half on a 10-7 run to take a 28-25 lead into the break.
BÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú opened up a double digit lead five minutes into the second half going up 41-31 with 15:41 left in the game. The lead would build from there and Amanda Woodside capped things off with two free throws for the final margin of 72-53.
The Saints shot well from the free throw line for the second game in a row, going 17-of-22 (77.3%) and held the Titans to only 28.1% shooting from the field (16-of-57).
India Johnson and Jazmyne Green each finished with nine points and Brandice Howard had eight.
Coach Chanda Stebbins and the Saints next game is on November 13 at 6:00pm against St. Pete College at Central Florida Community College. The next home game is on November 20 against Indian River State College at 6:00pm.
